    Description

    We have an exciting opportunity with a prominent and well-regarded real estate investment firm headquartered in San Francisco, with a presence across the country. This firm is growing rapidly and expanding their Fund Accounting & Investor Reporting team. They have a strong culture that keeps their people at the forefront, with stellar opportunities for mentorship, training and career development.

    This would be a great fit for someone coming out of public accounting who is interested in joining a growing but well established team of professionals with similar backgrounds, who has been introduced to the field through a PE/VC or similar client base.

    About the Role:

    This role supports the Fund Accounting Manager & Assistant Controller with the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, as well as supporting the year end tax/audit cycle. This is a newly created role and would have a lot of opportunity for career growth.

    • Facilitate monthly/annual close
    • Assist with month end journal entries
    • Portfolio analysis & performance monitoring
    • Assist with internal & investor reporting
    • Ensure accurate fund records through reconciliation's and reporting
    • Calculate daily market value of portfolio holding
    • Complete month-end reporting requirements
    • Maintain capital accounts
    • Ad hoc reporting
    What You'll Bring:
    • BS/BA degree in Accounting (preferred) or similar discipline
    • 2+ years experience in Real Estate, Asset Management, Venture Capital, or Private Equity (Very open to profiles coming straight out of public accounting as well as in Tax)
    • Must have experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Working knowledge of Partnership/Fund Accounting concepts
    • An ambition to progress quickly in your career
    • A positive attitude to take on new skills and get the job done
