    Job Description

    Job DescriptionWorking under general supervision, this role entails a diverse range of responsibilities within computer systems administration and support. This includes but is not limited to analyzing, constructing, documenting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing support for PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, phone systems, network connectivity, and communication devices across the entire organization.Key Responsibilities:
    • Setting up, installing, configuring, testing, and deploying computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
    • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to PC hardware, software, email, network connectivity, communication devices, phone systems, and backups.
    • Managing user accounts and permissions for network access and resources while ensuring security protocols are upheld.
    • Monitoring and responding to help desk inquiries through various channels such as in-person requests, phone calls, emails, and text messages.
    • Maintaining accurate records of computer systems and peripherals deployed to users.
    • Responding to system alerts and escalating issues to senior technical resources when necessary.
    • Creating and maintaining documentation for procedures, troubleshooting, and knowledge base articles.
    • Ensuring compliance with software licensing regulations.
    • Installing and terminating network or communication cables for workstations.
    • Familiarizing oneself with and staying current on software applications essential for business operations.
    • Participating in PC/workstation software upgrades and infrastructure technology enhancements.
    • Leading or assisting in user orientation and training sessions related to company technology and processes.
    • Evaluating and recommending upgrades to computer systems and communication devices.
    • Participating in cross-training and task substitution as required.
    Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in computer science or PC technology, or 2-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficiency in client operating systems (Windows XP, 7, 10, MAC OS, and some Linux).
    • Familiarity with network infrastructure and administrative tools, including security protocols, file structures, backup procedures, remote access configurations, and web browser settings.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Exchange email systems, and telecommunications/phone systems.
    • Basic understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux).
    • Experience supporting mobile device and client operating systems (Android and iOS).
