- Teach study skills classes, to ensure students understand which skills work best for their style of learning
- Assist students with executive functioning and organization
- Remain in close contact with parents and teachers
- Ensure students are receiving the appropriate classroom accommodations
- Review grades and progress reports
- Develop intervention plans with students, parents, and teachers when necessary
- Monitor homework club at least one afternoon a week
- Identify and address student academic concerns through positive problem-solving strategies
- Support faculty and staff concerning academic concerns of their students
- Communicate necessary information with parents about their student when appropriate
- Bachelor's Degree in special education or related field
- Commitment to embrace the school's mission and values
- Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and passion for developing young women of action
- Commitment to working collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
- Experience using a variety of pedagogical strategies
- Enjoys working collaboratively to develop and plan curricula.
- Proven experience engaging students in class experiences that foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity
