    Owner Relations Analyst – Job Description


    Scout Energy is a private energy investment firm that acquires, operates, and improves upstream conventional oil and gas properties for institutional investors.

    Scout's business is both the management of the private energy funds and the operations of the oil and gas assets it owns.

    The current employee base is approximately 1100 with 185 employees in the Dallas (HQ) office.


    Scout is seeking an Owner Relations Analyst to develop, support and enhance the growing company's functions pertaining to handling owner inquiries and discrepancies.

    This self-starter professional is able to work independently with good decision-making skills.

    The Owner Relations Analyst will gather and analyze complex data from a wide range of sources, all while being aligned to the company's goals, objectives and values.

    This position will report to Scout's Land Manager and Owner Relations Lead as a part of our Land Department.

    Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacilitate positive discussions with owners to determine issues and provide solutions to address those issuesMaintain accurate data entry into company's logs to ensure inquiries are handled efficiently and completelyReceive and respond in a timely manner to telephone calls, messages and emailsOpen, sort and respond to mailingsPrepare routing documents for review and approvalMaintain name, address and tax identification for lessors, royalty owners, overriding royalty interest owners and working interest partner ownershipsAnalyze legal documentation as it pertains to Deed and DistributionSucceed with transferring parties concerning additional documentation needed for dispersalEnsure all owner inquiries are addressed and resolved within a timely mannerElevate issues to Analysts when appropriateCommunicate with Division Order Analysts, Lease Analysts and Revenue Accountants concerning owner concerns as deemed necessary for conclusionDemonstrate knowledge of State Distribution of Real Property Laws on County LevelsWork in internal application for placing interest in suspense, example returned and stale dated checksResearch pertaining to owners with bad or no addressParticipate in special projects teamsSkills & Specifications

    Strong written, verbal and listening skills, must be comfortable talking on the phoneDetailed oriented with excellent organizational skills, with a patient, positive and pleasant personalityAbility to multi-task various projects at once while simultaneously engaging with owners and employees in a positive mannerComfortable working with owners, working interest owners and attorneysDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office systemsAble to prioritize when given multiple projectsEducation & Qualifications

    High School DiplomaThree to five years in an owner relations or customer service roleProven experience suggesting and implementing process improvements to increase effectiveness of owner relations proceduresAble to work in a team-oriented environment
