Banquet Events Supervisor - Cary, United States - Prestonwood Country Club
Description
***Prestonwood Country Club*** a premier establishment in Cary, NC is seeking an organized, detailed-oriented, customer service individual with strong communication skills to supervise our Banquets team as a **Banquet Events Supervisor**. This is a Full Time position that supervises banquet staff in the completion of the assigned functions and set-up, as well as oversees the service and break-down functions in a safe and timely manner. **Job Responsibilities:**
Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching banquet staff.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Check banquet event orders and diagrams to ensure that all information is accurate.
Check room set-up to see that banquet event order directions are completely followed.
Make contact with group representatives (on-site contacts) and maintain communication throughout event.
Communicate all banquet event order changes to affected departments.
Inspect the cleanliness and presentation all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
Serve as representative for Banquet Department at meetings if Banquet Manager is unavailable.
Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes and time schedules for all functions.
Verify staffing levels for the next day's functions. Adjust schedules accordingly through the addition or cancellation of servers, bartenders, and setup.
Inspect banquet areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean and member-ready.
Turn in final guest counts, additions, and beverage consumption to Catering Sales team at event conclusion.
**Job Requirements:**
Minimum two years of experience in a Hospitality field, management degree a plus.
Be available to work nights, weekends, Holidays and Mondays or as scheduled by Banquet Manager or Director of Food and Beverage.
Demonstrate an ability to provide excellent service to Members and their Guests.
Show excellent oral and written communication skills, previous use of POS systems, Word and Excel.
Attend all Departmental and Interdepartmental Meetings to maintain communication with all of Food & Beverage and other departments.
**PAY / BENEFITS:**
The rate of pay offered will be commensurate with the level of experience and education.
The selected candidate MUST pass a background check, drug test, and be eligible to work in the U.S.
The position is eligible for excellent company-offered benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability. Plus vacation and sick/personal time off after 90 days. A generous company-matched 401(k) plan is also available after 6 months.
