    Divinity Staffing Services is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a compassionate and dedicated skilled nursing/long-term care facility in Delaware. The facility's goal is to provide exceptional rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care services with dignity and respect, in partnership with the residents and families.

    Minimum Qualifications:
     B.S. or B.A. in Accounting (or related field).
     CPA certification or MBA.
     5-7+ years of management level experience.
     Proficiency with computer systems and knowledge of network administration.
     Ability to manage others, solve problems and work independently.
     Ability to communicate and interact with Board of Directors, auditors and other professionals, staff and
    resident members.
     Must be able to Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and abide by HIPAA regulations
     Must assure that resident rights are maintained at all times


    Job Responsibilities:

    Overview: Responsible for all accounting and financial matters of The Home. Secondary responsibility as
    MIS Director.
     Maintain system of internal accounting controls to safeguard assets of KSLC,
     Manage and direct the business office staff.
     Ensure that staff is sufficiently trained and has the tools to do perform their jobs.
     Understand the job requirements and procedures of each position.
     Monitor staff job performance on a regular basis.
     Provide staff with help and direction as needed.
     Assist in collections of A/R debt as needed.
     Responsible for all Financial Reporting.
     Responsible for overseeing all accounting functions.

    • Maintain general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers.
    • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
    • Account for and reconcile all board and donor restricted funds.
    • Record monthly adjusting journal entries, reconcile all accounts.
    • Insure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and principles.
     Responsible for all internal financial reporting:
     Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
     Report and interpret the results of operations to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and to
    relevant department heads.
     Compare the performance with operating budgets and plans.
     Prepare and present other financial and operating reports as required.
     Audited Financial Statements
     Act as liaison between The Board of Directors and the Independent auditors.
     Responsible for providing all necessary schedules, confirmations and other information as required
    by independent auditors.
     Responsible for ensuring that the financial statements are in compliance with generally accepted
    accounting principles and need no material adjustments.
     Responsible for obtaining a clean audit report, stating the financial statements are presented fairly
    without any qualifications and exceptions.

     Cost Reporting
     Responsible for the timely and accurate filing of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for Medicaid
    and Medicare reimbursement.

    • Provide any additional schedules and gather information needed to prepare reports.
    • Ensure that all necessary cost reclassifications are made.
     Responsible for Medicaid and Medicare cost report audits

    • Work with auditors and provide all necessary information and schedules
    • Respond to auditor questions and inquiries. Be able to justify and explain cost classifications
    and defend positions taken, if necessary.
     Responsible for financial budgeting and planning.
     Internal Operating Budget
     Work with departments heads on their operating budget proposals.
     Develop various budget model scenarios with Executive Director.
     Prepare Operating annual and monthly budget proposal.
     Present budget proposal to budget committee.
     Review and compare budget to actual operating results on a monthly basis.
     Plan short and long-term cash flow needs to ensure adequate funding for operations.
     Prepare and present operating budgets to outside funding agencies as required.
     Prepare and present operating budget for Jewish Federation and United Way allocation requests.
