    Description


    The ideal candidate must have a strong background in non-profit accounting and managing budget and audits for federal and state grants and foundations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all financial operations and activities of the organization
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to ensure the organization's financial health and growth.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, including supervising and mentoring staff
    • Manage the organization's budgeting process and ensure compliance with financial regulations
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
    • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies for revenue cycle management
    • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and compliance with payroll regulations
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, including IFRS
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory reporting

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices, particularly in Non-Profit sector.
    • Proficiency in technical accounting standards and financial management principles
    • Experience in revenue cycle management and payroll management
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a team
    • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for Non-Profit institutions
    • Experience in public accounting or auditing is preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders
