    POSITIONSUMMARY:
    Reporting to the Vice President of Data and Technology, the Director of Systems Administration is responsible for administration of Salesforce and related systems, effective strategic solutioning, and roadmap creation and implementation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Acts as lead Salesforce admin and manages integrated platform tools across the Association. Additional tools include, but are not limited to, Classy, Luminate Online, Drupal, Form Assembly and Marketing Cloud.
  • Responsible for the delivery of platform modifications and enhancements for strategic projects.
  • Responsible for the delivery of operational tasks related to platform management such as user administration, modifications, and enhancements, maintaining security policies, day-to-day operation & backups, etc.
  • Works closely with Data and Technology team leads to help inform most effective data operations, support and training of platforms.
  • Develops relationships with and partners closely with shared technology and managed services (Craftsman, Optimal) and other platform vendors (Salesforce, Classy, Blackbaud) to deliver platform modifications and enhancements.
  • Oversees, monitors, and advises on platform budgets including tracking, reporting, vendor review and project spend against vendor milestones.
  • Oversees daily operations of any future team members working directly on Salesforce administration, as well as integrations with Classy, Drupal, and Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Assists Senior Director and VP in setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth of the team.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Directly supervises employees within the Systems Administration team.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and relevantprofessional experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Salesforce administrator, particularly NPSP.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams with dynamic operational goals.
  • Exceptional project management and business analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collegially in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Experience implementing complex projects while managing multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience establishing standard protocols, programs, and processes, including continual process improvement and change management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, time-management, leadership, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working with nonprofit fundraising and/or care services platforms, Blackbaud products, and Classy as well as others.
  • Ability to travel on Association business as required.
  • PAY TRANSPARENCY: The ALS Association's pay range for this positionis $80,000 - $110,000 annually.

    The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.

    The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association. Healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, paid time off and several paid holidays are available to Association employees, among other benefits.
