Summary This position is a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, GS working in Falls Church, Virginia for the Division of NWRS-Budget.
Directs policy and guidance for formulation and implementation of financial assistance (grants and cooperative agreements management).
Assists program managers who award grants and cooperative agreements in establishing and strengthening programmatic and fiscal controls on awarding of funds and ensuring recipient's project completion of work and submission of deliverables; Analyzes pending legislation or programs related to financial assistance management and assesses their impact.
Coordinates, plans, schedules, and facilitates meetings with internal/external customers; as a subject matter expert, collaborates on program or division teams or initiatives, and/or may lead these collaborative efforts, to research and develop guidance, white papers or other informational resources/job aids focused on specific emergent financial assistance topics.
Analyzes and communicates the effect of changes in financial assistance laws, regulations, and policies in coordination with the WSFR Policy Branch and/or FASO Policy & Compliance Branch.
Supervises a staff of grants management specialists in accomplishing financial assistance programs and projects and Division goals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Only experience and education obtained by 05/14/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification.Minimum Qualification [GS-14] I have at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable to the GS-13 grade level in Federal service that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Examples of specialized experience include 1) Assessing financial assistance or grant management program training needs; 2) Interpreting financial management or grant management regulations; 3) Developing financial assistance or grant management policy for an organization; 4) Performing supervisory duties over a group of financial assistance or grant management program subordinates.NOTE:
