    About Argo Efeso

    Following the merger of Chicago, US based Argo and Paris, France based Efeso, Argo Efeso is on track to become the fastest growing global consulting firm in the Operations Consulting space.

    Private Equity sponsored, we are set to double our worldwide revenue in the next five years, driven by growth in the US where Efeso operates under the name Argo Efeso.

    The Position

    We are looking for a Controller who will be ready to step into the CFO position in the next 4-5 years upon the retirement of our current CFO.

    This is a new position, created as a result of our continued growth. We offer an outstanding benefits and compensation package, in a challenging position, working with a world class team.
    Responsibilities
    Report to the CFO, managing a small, growing team, and actively coordinating with Efeso's worldwide offices
    Manage day-to-day accounting operations including receivables, payables, cash flow management, electronic cash transfers, budget development, reporting & forecasting, general ledger, and payroll
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; prepare internal management reports for the US management team, global headquarters, and Private Equity investors
    Post and reconcile all bank accounts
    Assist with the annual close, including the annual accounting and tax return preparation processes, produce reports, reconciliations, and schedules
    Collaborate with Efeso's global finance team on internal projects
    Support integration of future acquisitions
    Negotiate with vendors, such as business insurance, health insurance, and software providers
    Prepare schedules and assemble documents required by our CPA firm to file quarterly and annual taxes
    Compile data for annual tax audits
    Required Skills and Qualifications
    Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
    Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
    Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    Strong understanding of financial data analysis
    Exceptional attention to detail, keen analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills enabling strategic data interpretation
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    Effective and polished verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills
    Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and dependability with a solid work ethic and a solutions-oriented approach
    Ability to effectively manage direct reports
    Bachelor's degree in accounting
    CPA and experience with Private Equity investors preferred but not required
    Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite
    Location
    Argo Efeso's main office is located in downtown Chicago, with a satellite office in Schaumburg. The Controller is expected to work at the Schaumburg location.
