    JOB SUMMARY:Implement fatherhood case management services and reviews for participants.


    JOB LOCATION:
    Fort Lauderdale, FL

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Implement case management services and reviews for participants.
    Collaborate with service providers.
    Plan and conduct face-to-face visits in home and office with fathers using evidence-based curriculum activities, methods, and materials.
    Support expecting or parenting fathers by facilitating educational, economic, employment, mental health, housing, and healthcare needs as required.
    Connect fathers to needed resources and services in the community.
    Maintain timely and accurate records of all visits, contacts, screenings, and resource linkages in the agency's case management system.
    Maintain participant confidentiality and integrity in keeping with agency policies, practices, and professional standards.
    Participate in outreach activities to identify fathers, inform the community of services, and build community collaborative relationships.
    Be available for evening and weekend activities as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's degree or a minimum of (3) years equivalent experience in community outreach, family support or related field.
    Experience in the social services field, preferably working with hard-to-reach, underserved, diverse populations. Experience facilitating groups and training.
    Experience working with dads is preferable.

    Experience working with men in social/human services or fatherhood programming or experience in case management,counseling, and providing direct services to fathers/families and knowledge of community resources preferred.


    SKILLS/


    KNOWLEDGE:
    Ability to handle multi-phone lines effectively.
    Working knowledge of office machines and equipment.
    Strong proficiency with computers, data base entry and with the full Microsoft Office suite, email, and internet.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; above-average interpersonal skills.
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and information and apply appropriate judgment.
    Passion for providing extraordinary customer service and work.

Initially organized to address the issues over representation of minorities in the juvenile justice system. Our services are designed to work with runaway, truant, and ungovernable youth and their families by increasing social and life management skills, academic success and self-worth awareness. We expanded to respond to issues of Family Reunification Services, Prevention, Emergency Food Pantry, Parenting and Neighborhood Empowerment. Since inception, our focus has been on the needs of disadvantaged youth and the families in the inner city of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County as a whole.
