    Detroit, MI US

    Our marketing team is looking for a people leader with a strong design background to come lead a team of designers within marketing.

    In this role, you will be a part of our Creative Leadership team, leading and providing coaching/mentorship to a team of 5-10 designers while working closely with marketing stakeholders.

    As a full in-house marketing agency, our designers truly are responsible for all aspects of our business, from performance marketing to 360 campaign development.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 years of management and administration experience
    • 10 years of professional design experience
    • Bachelor's degree in design, art or a related field
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and the Microsoft Office suite
    • Knowledge of project management systems, digital asset management systems and content management systems

    Job Summary

    As a Team Leader of Design, you will oversee the creation of concepts and design solutions for creative assets supporting current and future marketing initiatives, including video assets, print ads, social media, marketing emails and other digital marketing assets.

    In this leader role, you will mentor and develop team members to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional concepts and creative ideas.


    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with art directors, strategists, copywriters and other designers to oversee the creation of assets that support the companys marketing efforts
    • Oversee design of print, video, motion graphics, social, email and other digital mediums
    • Lead brainstorming sessions to create concepts and creative ideas for current and future brand campaigns and recommend decisions
    • Find creative visual solutions to solve for business needs or goals with minimal instruction
    • Be a subject matter expert in one or more specific areas through the mastery of specialized skills
    • Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of content strategy, design concepts, marketing principles and practices, and the current tools and software utilized on the team
    • Quickly adapt to multiple mediums and various business segments
    • Act as a thought leader by continuously identifying and finding solutions for areas of opportunity in the business
    • Develop and evaluate the skill sets of the Design team
