- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance students' mobility, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure optimal student progress and outcomes.
- Deliver direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive device training.
- Regularly monitor and document students' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable input on physical therapy goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and school policies.
- Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to address the unique needs of each student.
