    Job Summary

    • The Kitchen Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Boston Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar's kitchen, reporting to the General Manager. This role involves managing kitchen affairs, procurement, food preparation, staff scheduling, and team training and development in line with company standards and practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure all received products meet Boston's standards in terms of quality, quantity, and storage.
    • Adhere to preparation standards to maintain consistent high-quality product presentation.
    • Control food and labor costs as well as other kitchen-related expenses.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor supervisors and staff to ensure a deep understanding of restaurant needs.
    • Create accurate staff schedules based on sales projections to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Collaborate with the General Manager to support effective in-store training for new employees.
    • Communicate and implement menu changes or promotions to the team.
    • Procure approved products in required quantities, ensuring quality and proper handling.
    • Follow standard recipes and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
    • Prioritize Guests' health and safety by enforcing cleanliness and food safety practices.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and share insights to enhance the brand.
    • Implement sales-increasing strategies through promotions and community involvement.
    • Plan and execute national and local promotions while ensuring staff readiness.

    Qualifications

    • Preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
    • Prior experience in hotel or restaurant management is a plus.
    • Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in restaurant management.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and hands-on management approach.
    • Strong project management abilities and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to devise flexible strategies to achieve goals efficiently.
    • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment independently.
    • Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and presentations.
    • Team player with a proactive attitude and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with a POS system.
    • Capable of handling confidential information with integrity.
    • Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
