We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead the culinary tea. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence, overseeing kitchen operations, and collaborating with the executive chef to create exquisite dishes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Monitor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to recipes, and strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to kitchen staff, including chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and inspire creativity and passion for culinary excellence.
• Assist in managing food cost by monitoring inventory levels, minimizing waste, and implementing effective portion control. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality control throughout the kitchen. Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper food storage, handling, and cleanliness. Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Assist in training and developing kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, plating presentations, and adherence to recipes and standards. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge within the kitchen team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in an upscale dining restaurant.
• Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of fine dining cuisine.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Creative mindset and a passion for culinary innovation.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
