Vale Group has partnered with a company in the Aerospace industry based in Stockton, CA who is actively searching for an experience Non-Destructive Testing Technician(MT/PT) to work ON-SITE for an opportunity paying $ $26.00 per hour based on experience. Must have some experience with magnetic particle and liquid penetrant non-destructive testing and possess a level I or higher certification.

Requirements of the Non-Destructive Testing Technician :

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of NDT/Magnetic Particle Inspection related experience - Aerospace/Aviation Industry preferred
Must have completed training required for NDT certification to ASNT Level I or higher (REQUIRED)
Familiarity with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate defect identification and evaluation.

Responsibilities of the Non-Destructive Testing Technician :

Prepare and set up aerospace components for inspection using appropriate magnetization methods
Apply magnetic particles to the surface of components under inspection to identify defects and discontinuities.
Interpret and evaluate test results, ensuring accurate identification and classification of indications.
Thoroughly examine aerospace parts and structures for surface and near-surface defects, including cracks, voids, and inclusions.
Utilize visual inspection and specialized ultraviolet (UV) lighting to enhance the visibility of indications.
Calibrate and maintain magnetic particle testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Perform regular inspections and quality checks on NDT equipment to detect any issues or malfunctions.
Record detailed inspection findings and test results in accordance with established procedures.
Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including defect characterization and recommendations for further action.
