- Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish project goals and specifications.
- Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones.
- Budget Management:
- Estimate project costs and develop budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documentation.
- Resource Allocation:
- Assign tasks to construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Procure materials, equipment, and services required for project completion, negotiating contracts and agreements as necessary.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to communicate project goals, expectations, and updates.
- Resolve conflicts and address issues that may arise during the course of the project.
- Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure construction meets industry standards and client specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any safety concerns.
- Collaborate with safety personnel and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate regular meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a construction project manager, preferably in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
