- Provide individual/couples/co-joint/group/family counseling, including crisis counseling, assessment, treatment planning, and information referral.
- Maintain Electronic Health Record documentation and reporting.
- Maintain minimal productivity standards.
- Participate in BHS Department meetings, check-ins, consultation, training, and clinical supervision, as applicable, as well as agency meetings and training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education/Experience:
- Successful completion of terminal graduate training program in a psychotherapy-related field: Ph.D./Psy.D., M.A. or M.S. in psychology, MSW, etc., at an accredited university or college.
- Licensed-eligible in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or APCC and currently registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Prior experience working in the LGBTQ and HIV communities.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with youth, including LGBT youth, youth living with HIV, and/or un-housed youth.
- Knowledgeable about current issues/trends related to the LGBTQ community and others who are historically marginalized.
- Strong skills such as critical thinking, verbal communication, active listening, and empathy.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Technical Skills:
- Must be comfortable working in PC/Windows-based environments.
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with using electronic health records.
- Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish.
- Education/Experience: Lived experience as a member of a historically under-served community (i.e., low-income, communities of color, LGBT communities, immigrant communities, etc.)
- Compensation: The pay range for this position is $ per hour and is commensurate with experience. This is a Full-Time, Regular, Non-exempt

The Center is sex-positive and provides advocacy and critical health and social support services to support our community members through all stages of life, focusing on our deeply held values of equity, social justice, and client-centered, trauma-informed care. The Center currently has over 75 staff working at five facilities across San Diego County.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Bilingual Staff Counselor position provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling primarily to the HIV/AIDS and LGBT communities, including youth, via telehealth as well as in-person services. Twenty hours (20) will be dedicated to clients accessing The Center's BHS department's Hillcrest location, and twenty hours (20) will be out stationed at The Center's South Bay Youth Center, a drop-in and recreational center for youth ages
