    **Process Assurance Manager Warehouse/Transload Operations**

    The primary purpose of the Process Assurance Manager is to facilitate adherence to processes, procedures, and operational compliance for all Warehousing and Transload Operations within Houston Material Handling (HMH). This position will require a thorough understanding of all HMH standard operating procedures. This leader will serve as the subject matter expert across HMH to ensure operational standards are adhered to. This individual is responsible for developing tools and implementing processes to analyze, evaluate, and provide valuable operational feedback to operational leadership. This position requires a self-motivated and highly driven Team Member with operational knowledge and experience in quality assurance oversight. Assessment data and assurance of Team Member compliance will be compiled in a field operating environment in direct support of stevedoring, transfer, receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations.

    **Supervisory Responsibilities:**

    Hire and train Process Assurance Team Members.

    Oversee daily operations and coordinate QA support with General Managers.

    Perform timely and constructive evaluations aimed at Team Member development.

    Oversee progressive discipline and termination of Team Members under Watco policy.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

    Understand all applicable HMH standard operating procedures and develop tools for monitoring Team Member compliance across the full HMH operational spectrum.

    Compile operational data and present quarterly report/update to the leadership team that assesses compliance across all HMH groups.

    Analyze data to maintain a running SWOT assessment that facilitates identifying and resolving systemic trouble areas and continually measures improvement of operational effectiveness.

    Train, motivate, coach, and make on-the-spot corrections to Team Members to ensure that Watco standards are being met.

    In collaboration with General Managers, assist in formulating strategies to increase operational productivity and lead the annual review of all standard operating procedures to ensure they align with operational objectives.

    Perform functional E-Testing across all Warehousing and Transloading Operations and establish E-Testing priorities within those areas in coordination with general managers

    Must be available and flexible to work all shifts as business and support needs require.

    Must be able to participate in leadership and operations meetings.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    **Requirements:**

    Bachelor's or Associates's degree is preferred but not required.

    Three to five years of experience in a related field with supervisory experience a plus

    Strong organizational skills and demonstrated Leadership ability.

    Team Member must have a diligent safety focus and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

    Leader with strong interpersonal and Team building skills

    Leader with integrity that is confident in making on-the-spot corrections and demonstrates an 'Every Day Better' approach

    Excellent oral and written communication skills and capable of generating executive-level correspondence.

    Ability to effectively provide employees instruction on process and practice

    Leader with demonstrated ability to develop others

    Computer literacy and software skills with the following programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Word Processing, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe, and Company internal computer programs.

    Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.

    Must currently have or must have the capability to obtain a TWIC card.

    **Physical Demands:**

    The physical demands described here represent those that must meet to perform the job's essential functions successfully.

    Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others within the Company 100% of the time.

    Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, squat.

    Must be able to climb steps and ladders while wearing all personal protective equipment (hard hat, steel toe boots, eye protection, gloves, and safety vest).

    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

    **Work Environment:**

    The Quality Assurance Manager will report to the AVP of Houston Material Handling. The Team Member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and elements within the Houston, Texas area, noise, and fumes associated with heavy stevedoring and warehousing machinery. Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and with dock/warehouse operating environments while wearing personal protective equipment.
