    Description
    Job Summary

    Metro Welding Supply is the largest and fastest growing independent gas distributor and welding supply/equipment provider in Southeast Michigan. Metro Welding Supply, family owned and operated since 1937, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate. We appreciate our employees by offering 401K, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate you will not be asked to work weekends.

    Responsibilities
    • Pull boxes per pick list and stage them to ship.
    • Unload containers at the dock.
    • Operate a hi-lo.
    • Physical inventory and cycle count.
    • Pulling product for quality/sort activities as needed.
    • Label material.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Must maintain proper attendance.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Warehouse / S&R experience a plus.
    • Prior industry experience is a plus, but not necessary.
    Schedule:
    • 8-hour shift
    • Day shift
    • Monday thru Friday
    Compensation: $ $18.00 per hour
