Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Backroom Associate.

As a Backroom Associate, you will be responsible for various duties including inventory control, loading and unloading merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized backroom area.

This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments
Unload merchandise from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
Sort and organize merchandise in the backroom according to established procedures
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control
Ensure accurate labeling and tagging of merchandise
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the backroom area
Assist with loading merchandise onto trucks for shipment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations

Experience:

Previous experience in a retail or warehouse setting is preferred
Familiarity with retail math concepts such as calculating discounts and sales prices is a plus
Knowledge of produce handling and storage is an advantage
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Experience with inventory control procedures is beneficial
Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes is desirable
Multilingual skills are a plus

Please note that this position may require the use of forklifts or other equipment, so prior certification or experience operating such machinery is preferred.
