- 7+ yrs of hand on experience in flow/thermal/CFD analysis of aero/gas turbine components
- Develop Flow/Thermal models (2D,3D & 2D/3D) for (FAN/LPC/HPC/Diffuser/HPT/LPT) aero/industrial gas turbine engine components using FEM tools like ANSYS etc.
- Expertise in Aero thermal tools to generate steady state and transient boundary conditions for flight mission profiles.
- Develop Flow/CFD models (2D,3D & 2D/3D) for aero/industrial gas turbine engine components using ANSYS CFX/Fluent and/or STAR-CCM+ or other commercial CFD tools.
- Perform 2D/3D steady/Unsteady and transient CFD and CFD-FEA analysis for all rotating/Static gas turbine components.
- Perform CFD studies including geometry modification, meshing, solver execution, post-processing, and interpretation of the CFD results
- Perform 2D/3D steady state and transient thermal analysis for mission profiles.
- Ability to manage aero thermal projects and coordinate with customers on daily/weekly deliverables.
- Strong aero thermal design domain knowledge in fluid flow & heat transfer analysis. Understanding CFD analysis results and using results into thermal analysis.
- Experience in hand calculations of heat transfer coefficients for single/multi-Phase flow mixtures, mixture properties.
- Excellent technical, analytical and communication skill are essential.
- Ability to work with offshore and global teams to understand project scope including analysis domain, boundary condition, material models, type of analysis etc.
- Review technical presentations, interpret the results, and present the same to Customer
- Strong Technical, Project Management, Interpersonal and Problem-solving skills
- CAD TOOLS: UNIGRAPHICS, Space Claim
- CAE TOOLS: ANSYS, ANSYS Workbench, Fluent, CFX and/or STAR-CCM+
- Prog. Languages: ANSYS(APDL), C, VBA, Python, MatLab-SimLink
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
- 7+ yrs of relevant gas tubine/Aero space industry experience
- US CITIZEN required due to Nature of job and export restriction.
