    Position Title: Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-time, 10-month position Classification: Exempt Reports to: Principal Supervises: None Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 About Presentation High School Presentation High School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school for young women. Position Summary The Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) will lead the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that support Presentation's mission, vision, and annual DEI action plan. The director will lead the development of a vision and effective strategy that champions the importance and value of a diverse and inclusive school community and environment. Duties and Specific Responsibilities
    • Contribute to schoolwide planning and implementation of initiatives to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Presentation.
    • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team and HR Director to create, implement, and monitor initiatives designed to ensure equitable treatment of students, faculty, and staff and promote the school community as a place of inclusion, equity, and multiculturalism.
    • Lead an annual Multicultural Week to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion and provide formation opportunities to students, parents, and faculty/staff.
    • Teach a section (or two) of Ethnic Studies within the Social Science Department.
    • Oversee and work closely with student affinity group moderators and student leaders to ensure their successful development, active leadership in the school community, and the development of opportunities for collaboration within and between these groups.
    • In collaboration with the HR Director, serve as a resource, and offer support and coaching to faculty, staff, and administrators on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Develop and administer professional development for school leadership, faculty/staff, parents, volunteers, and students in collaboration with the Educational Leadership Team to promote cultural understanding and a climate of equity and inclusion.
    • Conduct an assessment of Presentation's inclusivity and multiculturalism through community engagement and the NAIS Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism (AIM), present findings to the leadership team, and recommend policy and procedural changes to inform Presentation's annual DEI action plan.
    • Engage students in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through the establishment of a Student Diversity Awareness Board.
    • Collaborate with the Advancement department to create and facilitate BIPOC engagement and support initiatives with parents and alumnae.
    • Maintain specific support structures and systems, such as SEED groups, a BIPOC group, and Anti-Racist White Affinity group to foster a space for learning and community building.
    • Consult, as needed, on complaints related to discrimination and harassment complaints filed by students with the Dean of Student Wellbeing and Safety, Dean of Students, and Administration.
    • Respond, as needed, to microaggressions and bias-related incidents with restorative practices in partnership with the Dean of Students and Dean of Student Wellbeing and Safety.
    • Pursue professional development opportunities; attend conferences and professional meetings in order to remain current with diversity and inclusion issues that may affect the school.
    • Develop and maintain a network with other DEI coordinators and external cultural resource organizations.
    Education & Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The items below represent the education, and experience required or preferred.
    • B.A. degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
    • Relevant experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, in a school setting strongly preferred.
