- Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing business processes to identify control gaps and areas of non-compliance with SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, operations, and IT teams, to assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, addressing identified gaps and deficiencies.
- Document process flows, control objectives, and control activities to support SOX compliance efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, performing testing and assessments to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains while maintaining effective internal controls.
- Stay current on changes to SOX regulations and guidance, providing guidance and recommendations to management and stakeholders as needed.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and assistance related to internal controls over financial reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on SOX compliance requirements and best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on business process controls and SOX compliance, providing advice and support to management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its requirements related to internal controls over financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of business processes, risks, and controls across various functional areas.
- Experience conducting process reviews, risk assessments, and control testing.
