    Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDRs Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location.

    Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities.

    EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.

    Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Cost Estimator II we'll count on you to:

    Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimatesPrepare and implement procedures for conducting estimates, and establish structures and presentation formats for estimatesTake responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parametersWork on estimates that may reflect any part of total project, or changes to the projectCoordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimatesPrepare comprehensive cost estimate reports, including laboring, market and job condition factorsPrepare and implement procedures for conducting estimates, and establish structures and presentation formats for estimatesParticipate in negotiations with contractors as neededPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering, or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5+ years of experience in producing estimates in a competitive environment, and assessing cost risks based on contract terms and conditions relative to a cost estimateKnowledge of Work Breakdown Structures necessary for cost managementMust be proficient with Primavera and TimberlineAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications P roficient with Microsoft Office, E4 Clicks, PACES and MCACESAbility to interpret construction schedulesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
