    Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location.

    Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities.

    EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.
    Primary Responsibilities
    In the role of Cost Estimator II we'll count on you to:


    • Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates
    • Prepare and implement procedures for conducting estimates, and establish structures and presentation formats for estimates
    • Take responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters
    • Work on estimates that may reflect any part of total project, or changes to the project
    • Coordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimates
    • Prepare comprehensive cost estimate reports, including laboring, market and job condition factors
    • Prepare and implement procedures for conducting estimates, and establish structures and presentation formats for estimates
    • Participate in negotiations with contractors as needed
    • Perform other duties as needed
    Required Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering, or combination of education and relevant experience
    • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in producing estimates in a competitive environment, and assessing cost risks based on contract terms and conditions relative to a cost estimate
    • Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures necessary for cost management
    • Must be proficient with Primavera and Timberline
    • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
    Preferred Qualifications


    • P roficient with Microsoft Office, E4 Clicks, PACES and MCACES
    • Ability to interpret construction schedules
