Job Summary:
The Director of Health Operations should have experience in Health Home programs, community-based healthcare, supportive housing, or other team-based models.
The Director of Health Operations will play a key role in implementing best practices in community health, achieving quality outcome metrics, and ensuring that we are achieving key productivity metrics for our members.
Responsibilities:
Strategize and implement business strategies, plans, and creates policy to achieve medical offices goal
Establish comprehensive goals for driving organizational vision, operation strategy, performance, and growth
Analyze the trend to enter new areas and scale the health care business and operations
Work with COO and CEO, and clinical leadership to develop goals and strategies to increase the covered lives
Develop and implement business plans into tactical action items, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
Delegate tasks to meet goals and objective; build accountability for and measuring performance and developing contingency plan accordingly
Manage budget ensuing spending within the budget allocation
Monitor and control expenditures and provide input and direction to the budget planning process demonstrating comprehensive financial acumen
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Public Administration, Public Health, or a related field, LCSW or LMSW strongly preferred
Background in Health Home or other related Medicaid Services for Care Coordination
Management experience and start up experience (building from ground up)
At least 5 years of management experience in Health Care or Social work field
Experience managing diverse teams
Knowledgeable about key competencies in complex care, including trauma-informed approaches, best practices in mental health, addiction, and homelessness
Knowledge about the Social Service system in NYC
Ability to work well with individuals from different disciplines and across diverse teams
Demonstrated experience in leading teams
Knowledge of NYS Department of Mental Health guidelines
Computer experience with word, excel
