Job Description:
Join AssetMark's Information Technology team as a QA Lead and take ownership of ensuring high-quality testing and adherence to industry best practices for our large-scale projects and programs.
In this critical role, you will drive the strategic direction and implementation of our testing strategy, fostering a culture of excellence within the QA function.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Concord, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy that leverages industry best practices and builds scalable solutions for complex projects and programs.
Oversee all aspects of the QA lifecycle, including resource allocation, expense management, process refinement, troubleshooting, tool implementation, and test planning/execution.
Mature the QA function by establishing effective functional, regression, and end-to-end testing capabilities, driven by auditable metrics.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables.
Build and lead a high-performing team focused on timely delivery and creative solutions.
Manage offshore resources, ensuring vendor alignment with AssetMark's strategic goals and interests.
Develop test strategies, test plans, conduct requirement gap analysis, test case reviews, impact analysis, and root cause analysis.
Plan and execute product testing efforts, managing associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
Assume bottom-line ownership of all QA activities, test results, defects, test metrics, root cause analysis, and identify areas for process improvement.
Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and participate in hands-on test execution activities to meet deadlines.Lead and participate in production deployment and post-validation test activities.
Spearhead the development and implementation of test automation processes.
Define and lead processes that facilitate defect triage across multiple products, teams, and testers.
Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills, with a quick learning ability and self-starter mindset.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while remaining calm under pressure and responsive to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, test management tools, databases, Git, and Python.
Proven expertise in planning and executing Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Backend Testing, End-to
Experience with Selenium WebDriver, test scripting using Java.
Design and execute features of BDD using Selenium and Cucumber for Java.
Experience in automation (Web Services, UI, Data) connecting to databases and running SQL queries.
Involvement in Continuous Integration of the automation framework with Azure pipeline.
Expertise in setting up and carrying out browser compatibility testing across different browsers.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of software quality assurance experience, including hands-on analysis and testing.
Compensation:
The Base Salary range for this position is between $115,000-$135,000.This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.
This position will also be eligible for a comprehensive sales incentive package and competitive benefits.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
