Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Junior Procurement Administrator to work in the Procurement division located at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This is an entry-level position with an opportunity to learn the comprehensive work of procuring various resources, including equipment, services, construction, supplies, information technology, and other needs through the competitive or negotiated procurement process. The duties encompass executing essential purchasing procedures for securing supplies and services, ranging from heavy equipment to consulting services, based on the requirements of the assigned group.

The Jr. Procurement Administrator is tasked with learning and applying the processes and procedures for soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts in compliance with procurement laws and regulations, along with managing the procurement process from RFP, IFB to Purchase Order processing (start to finish). This position supports the assigned Group to ensure all procurement and purchasing processes are streamlined. Additionally, performs necessary purchasing procedures to acquire supplies and services such as heavy equipment, large tools, motor vehicles, automated office equipment and supplies, fuels, chemicals, consulting services, industrial equipment, and service and construction contracts, as needed by assigned Group.

Under supervision from the Chief of Procurement and Purchasing, the Jr. Procurement Administrator receives training and directives from the Procurement Administrators. This position is designated to one Group (TES, EDR, W/WW, EO, and Administration). It serves as the primary point of contact for the assigned Group and manages all aspects of the Group's procurement activities.

Estimated Pay Range:

$55, $76,534.73

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in fields of supply chain, procurement, engineering or Business, or any field. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
