- Resource for GAAP and STAT accounting standards and procedures.
- Prepares and/or reviews monthly entries to the general ledger, including accruals.
- Prepares and/or reviews quarterly and annual financial documents and footnotes
- Prepares and/or reviews quarterly and annual Statutory filings and footnotes including Interrogatories.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts monthly
- Responsible for coordinating payments for external invoices
- Reviews monthly files/reports from accounting vendor for accuracy and completeness
- Communicates investment accounting matters to internal and external clients, regulatory entities (internal and external auditors), as well as the investment staff.
- Collaborates with other departments for quarterly and annual results in accordance with their reporting requirements.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reports for management and internal investment committee meetings
- Coordinates and completes special projects as needed and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience in investment accounting
- SAP experience
- 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Highly collaborative. Must have a strong team orientation and the ability to influence decision making within our team structure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of seniority.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to persuade and influence.
