    NVIDIA is searching for a Senior Director of Software Engineering to Architect, build and manage a team of System Software Engineers and applied scientists to develop deep learning, computer vision and data analytics algorithms and applications for a variety of AI platforms. Data is the lifeblood of the modern city and the amount of data that is gathered is growing exponentially. Artificial Intelligence is redefining how we collect, simulate, inspect, and analyze this data that impacts everything from public safety, traffic, and parking management to Robotics and city services. NVIDIA is leading this AI revolution, providing the tools, technologies, and expertise to meet every challenge with smarter, faster applications.

    This exciting role will require someone who deeply understands and can architect algorithms that advance the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to the Intelligent Video Analytics market. Practical experience in the use of Generative AI techniques, Large Vision Language Models, machine learning/deep learning along with a good knowledge of computer vision techniques will be preferable. Experience in building a team of algorithm developers and System Software architects who can develop such technologies in a cloud native way will be critical.

    What youll be doing:

    • You will be establishing and growing a software team that can architect, analyze, develop and prototype key deep learning and video/data analytics algorithms and solutions
    • Work closely with architecture and development teams that work on implementation of various applications that spans both computer vision-based pixel processing and data analytics
    • Work and collaborate with different software, research and hardware teams across geographies for solving critical problems
    • Understand and analyze the interplay of hardware and software architectures on future applications

    What we need to see:

    • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • 15+ overall years of meaningful lab and industry experience in software development using distributed computing software stack
    • 5+ years of leadership
    • Expertise knowledge in different Deep Learning Frameworks and Libraries like pyTorch, TensorFlow is essential.
    • Strong mathematical foundation in machine learning, deep learning and Computer Vision will be helpful
    • Validated experience in managing large image and video datasets and the use of MLOps tools
    • Experience with containers and deployment automation tools such as Docker (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
    • Strong programming skills in C++, CUDA, and scripting language (Python)
    • Experience working on building tools on top of AWS and Azure backends will be beneficial.
    • Good team building experience
    • Strong communication skills
    • Experience with systems-level performance modeling, profiling, and analysis

    The base salary range is 360,000 USD - 546,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
