    The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel is responsible for transforming the Networks to be software-defined and driving leadership compute & acceleration at the Edge. The NEX Platform Organization (NPO) is chartered to define and architect the technology and platform requirements, strategy, stack and products for the distributed compute platforms for the Edge.

    'In this Leadership position in NPO, you will lead the definition and creation of the Edge Computer/Node Software Technology Platform and applicable Hardware enabling for Edge compute platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to actively collaborate with the leading technology customers, business leaders, architects, experts, software/solution teams and drive innovation for optimized Edge Compute & AI solutions for current and the next gen Edge Products.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Working with customer & industry experts to listen, understand, distill, and identify future Edge trends in Network & Edge deployments.
    • Architecting and defining the cloud to edge platform system requirements, use cases, system flows, hardware, platform and software architecture, and specifications that integrate and optimize edge/cloud hardware and software solutions.
    • Determines integrated hardware, software, and data architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
    • Designs, builds, delivers, and operates cloud to edge solutions that drive standards and efficiency across the ecosystem from software to hardware to systems.
    • Drives the readiness, internally as well as externally, with manufacturers and vendors for application of new solutions, techniques, and methodologies to reference systems and to scale to customer designs.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to design innovative enhancements for edge to cloud systems meeting client and market expectations
    • Translate the trends into technology gaps and actively drive actionable technology proposal(s).
    • Understanding competitive strengths and gaps in existing and planned edge AI products to architect leadership next generation edge products.
    • Develop AI KPIs and workloads to define the next generation edge products
    • Lead the Edge HW System and Product architecture definition and collaborate to define a leadership edge system platform solution roadmap.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    BS in computer science, engineering, business or related field with 12+ years of experience.

    5+ years of demonstrated experience in System level in Edge and Cloud Platforms with demonstrated technical skills spanning hardware, software, and frameworks.

    10+ years of past experience developing and delivering edge products, solutions, platforms or ecosystems.

    5+ years of experience mapping customer requirements to hardware, software or hybrid based on market requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working in and navigating a large corporation.

    Experience leading a technical team in a highly matrixed environment.

    Experience working with and influencing business leaders.

    Knowledge of latest technologies, trends, and usages of edge, cloud and AI especially as it relates to deployments at the edge,

    Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

    US, California:$225,175.00-$359,585.00

    Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

    Work Model for this Role

    This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
