- Generate precise estimates for thermoformed and injection-molded plastic parts, considering factors such as material costs, tooling requirements, and production processes.
- Input estimates into the ERP system, ensuring seamless integration of materials and production routing specific to thermoforming and injection molding processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear documentation accompanies each estimate, facilitating understanding and alignment across departments.
- Oversee the introduction of new plastic components into our manufacturing processes, ensuring documentation and processes are optimized for thermoforming and injection molding requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate data to track and improve productivity and efficiency within thermoforming and injection molding operations.
- Review existing processes, proposing and implementing standard improvements tailored to thermoforming and injection molding processes.
- Evaluate processes specific to thermoforming and injection molding, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues related to thermoforming and injection molding processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on thermoforming and/or plastic injection molding.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for estimating and project management.
- Strong understanding of thermoforming and injection molding processes, including tooling design and material selection.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive process improvements.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
