Joining the team as a Sr.Lead DevOps Engineer on the Platform DevOps will provide you the opportunity to make a huge impact in a high-growth company.
You will be responsible for leading the technical direction around our platforms consisting of industry-leading, enterprise-grade cloud technologies.When you are successful you will significantly accelerate the ability of our entire team to deliver innovative products into our customers' hands safely and securely at scale.
You will be supported through in-house training and certification on our Coupa University platform and subscriptions with leading learning partners.

Responsibilities:
Own, build and run a suite of impactful platforms built on modern cloud technologies that provide a suite of functionality delivering APIs, integrations, security, messaging, streaming, identity, performance, reliability & containersDevelop and drive long-term strategies and roadmaps aligning with business priorities in partnership with the Product Management teamBuild a multi-region and multi-cloud platform that allows scalable, secure service delivery across hundreds of services on AWS & Azure clouds in a regulated environmentAct as a primary lead partnering to provide technical guidance, support, and direction for several platform engineering teamsSupport the effort to containerize a suite of applications to reduce cost and improve efficiencyUse data-driven insights across our cloud estate to inform and drive new feature development to optimize usage and reduce costRequirements:Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience out of which 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience using Go, Python, Java, Ruby or equivalentHas 4+ years of experience in a lead engineering role, working with a diverse & distributed team located across the globeWill be confident in their ability to own and deliver a roadmap tied to business prioritiesHas effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated problems to all levels of the organization & customersHas experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ECS)Has experience with data platforms (Elasticsearch, Kafka), queueing & background services (SQS, SNS, Resque), identity services (Keycloak, Aerobase, FreeIPA), integrations (API gateways, middleware), application security, or cloud performance optimizationHas experience building & running modern full-stack cloud applications using public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) reliably and at scaleTakes full ownership of products and has a track record of sustainably delivering high quality features & managing technical debtHas a passion for excellence, is a natural problem solver, and a critical thinker.
You should enjoy digging deep to understand issues and like solving hard problemsHas a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalentIt would also be great (but not essential) for you to have:Experience with modern infrastructure management systems (Chef, Ansible, Terraform)Expertise in building Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), or Internal Developer Portal (IDP) solutionsThe estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:Based in California:
