Principal Software Engineer I - Dulles Our client, in collaboration with a U.S
Government Prime Contractor, is actively involved in a vital development and sustainment program
This project focuses on creating and maintaining a network operations environment, while integrating innovative cybersecurity features to counter evolving threats
We are currently in search of experienced Senior Software Engineers with a specialization in Cloud development to contribute to the creation, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity tools

Location:
Dulles, VA

Salary:
$140,000

Key Responsibilities:

Actively participate in Agile Scrum teams, contributing significantly to the design, testing, and implementation of sophisticated cybersecurity software solutions
Execute automated build processes, testing, and deployments
Produce high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, test strategies, and other contract-related deliverables, in addition to facilitating product training sessions
Engage in risk analysis and develop strategies for risk mitigation

Essential Qualifications:

Must be a U.S

Citizen

Hold an Active Secret clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI clearance
Eligibility for DHS Suitability is required
Minimum of 8 years in software development, specifically relevant to the position
At least 4 years of experience in Agile software development methodologies
Proficient in cloud-based development, particularly with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Proven experience in integrating analytic models into operational systems
Knowledge of Government Information Security policies and the ability to quickly grasp related regulations and guidelines
Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Javascript
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and Shell Scripting
Demonstrated experience with database technologies like SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBDC, NOSQL, etc
Commitment to creating well-structured, easily maintainable code and adherence to group coding standards and designs
Proficiency in MS Office tools

Preferred Skills:

Experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS, AngularJS, etc
Knowledge of Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE), Kibana, Logstash, Hadoop
Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and familiarity with tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, JIRA, Git, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Junit, JMeter, RSpec, and Cucumber
Agile and SAFe certifications like Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist (SA), or SAFe Practitioner (SP) are advantageous
Technical insight into cybersecurity attack strategies and countermeasures

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering
Alternatively, 14 or more years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree

Preferred Certifications:

Agile development methodology certification (e.g., SCRUM Master) is highly desirable
DoD IAT Level II
CSSLP.
