- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements for each location. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis reports.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and subledgers, perform monthly reconciliations and journal entries. Ensure proper coding and classification of accounts payable transactions.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and expenses across locations. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of monthly tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Work closely with external tax advisors as needed.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to assess control effectiveness.
- Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations between multiple locations. Ensure accurate recording and elimination of intercompany balances.
- Financial Systems Administration: Utilize Sage Intacct accounting software to maintain financial records and generate reports. Provide training and support to other team members as needed.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on multi-location operations.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
