Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial reports, records and general ledger as well as performing basic accounting functions related to the monthly financial close for the College and the Foundation.

The Staff Accountant will also prepare year-end schedules for annual audits as well as work closely with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure that payments and reconciliations follow the policy of the College.

This position will work under the supervision of the Controller and will support operational staff with general accounting needs.

The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, innovative, dynamic team player who fosters collaboration.

This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with all aspect of accounting practices and compliance.

This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver with the analytic ability to elicit, organize and translate data as well as a strong understanding of the College's mission and goals.

The Staff Accountant will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive financial information as well as prioritize and meet deadlines under strict constraints.

The Staff Accountant will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience preferably in higher education or public accounting.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting/Finance or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Master's degree preferred.
