- Handling accounting responsibilities in support of month-end and year-end closes.
- Researching, preparing, and entering journal entries for multiple operating entities and partnerships.
- Preparing account analysis for multiple operating entities and partnerships.
- Assistance with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly state and local filings/reporting as needed.
- Analyzing, preparing and/or reviewing bank account and inter-company account reconciliations.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirement preparation and operational analysis for divisions and affiliated companies.
- Monthly sales and use tax and annual business privilege tax filings as required.
- Monthly/annual vehicle registration/licensing responsibilities for new and existing truck and equipment fleet.
- Auditing and reviewing information required from divisions/affiliates both on-site and at corporate headquarters to ensure requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.
- Specialty billing and reporting responsibilities for operating entities.
- Communicating and working with division and corporate personnel to identify, implement and improve processes and internal controls.
- Track insurance and workers' compensation costs.
- Provide assistance as needed with annual audits.
- Maintain files and records as needed.
- Special projects and other tasks as required.
- 3-5 years of experience either in public or private accounting; some manufacturing experience a plus, but not required.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong skills related to Microsoft Office software products.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software would be a plus.
