Up to $15,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RNDesert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.
Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a perioperative nurse who may function as an assistant to the surgeon in the operating room during surgical procedures.
The RNFA performs first assistant behaviors according to standardized hospital policies. Demonstrates ability to perform all RNFA duties specific to Cardiothoracic surgery.Submits annual performance review by physicians in a timely manner.
Participates in the call rotation
Participates in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients
The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
CVOR Full-Time Days candidate will possess the following education, licenses/certifications, and experience:
Graduate of an approved school of Nursing, and posses a current California RN license
~ Completion of an approved/accredited RNFA course, including the completion of the required internship hours
~Proficient in perioperative nursing practice as both scrub and circulating nurse with diversified operating room experience.
~ Demonstrates knowledge of current nursing theory and practice.
~ Possesses audible, visual, and manual acuity necessary for maintaining patient safety.
~ Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
