Position:
Dog Boarding/Daycare Attendant (Large and Small Dogs) & Registered Veterinary Technician
Wage:
Starting at $22 an hour or more depending on experience with room to grow through training and promotion.
(Must have experience and be registered as a Veterinary Technician in California)

Summary:
As a Dog Boarding Attendant, you will be responsible for the care, well-being, and comfort of the dogs entrusted to our Tailwashers facility.
You will ensure that each dog receives the highest level of attention, exercise, and cleanliness in a safe and loving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tours of the facility, greet and check in/out dogs and their owners in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide daily feeding, exercise, and socialization for the dogs under your care.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the boarding area, including regular cleaning of kennels and play areas.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to the supervisor or onsite veterinarian.
- Administer medications and special care as directed by dog owners or veterinary staff.
- Follow established protocols for handling and restraining dogs, ensuring their safety and the safety of staff.
- Interact with dog owners, providing updates on their dogs' wellbeing and addressing any special requests.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of dog supplies, ensuring availability of necessary items.
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming.
- Participate in training and workshops to enhance knowledge of dog care and behavior.
- Help all team members in all departments and aspects of Daycare, Boarding, Grooming, Retail, and Customer Service.
- Tailwaggers has a strong teamwork atmosphere and offers Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, and Retail. Though your main focus will be on Daycare and Boarding, other duties may be asked of you in another department or aspect of Tailwaggers. Our main areas of focus are safety for our team, safety for our guests, and delivery outstanding customer service during each interaction._
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in Daycare and/or Borading
- Must be a registered Veterinary Technition
- Strong love and understanding of various dog breeds and behaviors.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying dogs and supplies.
- Knowledge of basic dog first aid and CPR is required.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, holidays, or overnights.
