    Description
    *Position will work two days per week in the Atlanta, GA office.

    Summary

    The Marketing Specialist will market both new and renewal business by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Works with Account Managers and Producers to determine client quoting needs.
    • Works with multiple insurance companies to obtain quotes for various lines of business.
    • Submits detailed client info into database to obtain accurate rates.
    • Reviews quotes for endorsements, exclusions and subjectivities.
    • Reviews firm quotes for accuracy before sharing with the producer/client.
    • Generates proposal for client.
    • Binds coverage once sold.
    • Explains proposal info to the Account Manager and/or Producer with carrier specifics pertaining to the clients overall needs.
    • Works with carrier marketing reps/underwriters to learn and understand appetite, new and latest product offerings, etc.
    • Schedules and/or participate in periodic meetings with marketing reps to ensure knowledge of the products being offered.
    • Participates in webinars and learning requirements based on system updates / product changes.
    • Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
    Requirements
    • High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Insurance studies and designations are a plus.
    • Active Accident, Property and Casualty Insurance License.
    • Minimum 2 years of insurance experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks with minimal guidance in order to meet deadlines.
    • Good oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.
    • Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
    • High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation.
    • Self-starter and work with direction and taking ownership of areas of responsibility.
    • Detail-oriented.
