    Description

    job summary:
    A Drives Systems Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Wauwatosa, WI area. The Drives Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and commissioning drive systems, including tasks such as creating diagrams, preparing purchase specifications, reviewing product drawings, and conducting analyses, while ensuring compliance with national electrical codes and collaborating with other engineering groups.

    responsibilities:

    • Perform various engineering tasks, including creating main power single line diagrams, plant level circuit diagrams, communication overview diagrams, signal lists, system software solutions, and testing of hardware and software.

    • Execute startup and commissioning activities based on instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other relevant information, following national electrical codes.

    • Prepare purchase specifications using company sizing and pricing tools, and generate related documents in accordance with project requirements and established formats.

    • Review and approve factory product drawings from both company factories and third-party suppliers.

    • Analyze a variety of engineering data, documents, and reports, consulting with other engineering groups to ensure specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application.

    • Recommend revisions to engineering criteria as appropriate.

    • Plan, conduct, or coordinate engineering analyses and tests, and prepare related reports and summaries for review.
    Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills required.

    • Must be fluent in speaking and writing English.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

    • Plus 4 years of experience in Drives Systems (Must have).
