    Job Description: Unified Communications Engineer

    Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and upgrading infrastructure, software, and technology solutions within the unified communications domain. This role involves assisting with strategic decisions regarding buying, renting, or building solutions and documenting functional and non-functional requirements using approved methodologies. Leveraging best practices and a deep understanding of business needs, the engineer aims to enhance service delivery and meet service-level expectations, drawing from over 8 years of relevant experience.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and manage telephony-related products and services, focusing on long-term scalability and performance optimization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and launch new products, services, and features, ensuring seamless integration.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex VOIP integration issues, enhancing system stability and quality.
    • Coordinate with external vendors to deliver and integrate solutions, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
    • Develop, maintain, and execute disaster recovery and redundancy strategies, ensuring continuity of services.
    • Solve intricate technical issues, applying expertise in real-time communication technologies such as voice, SIP, SBCs, QoS, DHCP, and DNS.
    • Uphold compliance with security, privacy, and legal standards, establishing and maintaining best practices across the infrastructure.
    • Proactively identify deviations from standard practices and devise practical solutions to propel projects forward.
    • Mentor team members in problem-solving techniques, promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in VOIP/telecom roles, with a track record in development, integration, and deployment of comprehensive solutions.
    • Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adept at adapting delivery approaches based on project needs.
    • Deep understanding of networking, compute, storage, development, data, operations, and security technologies.
    • Experience with Zoom Phone deployments is advantageous.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Java/Python/Go concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming is a plus.
    • Familiarity with CICD concepts, tools, and infrastructure-as-a-product delivery strategies is desirable.
