    Position Overview:

    We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate our Field Service Truck and work in the Shop, Monday through Friday from 7am-3:30pm or as scheduled. We offer competitive hourly rates ranging from $25 to $50 per hour, based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including Health Benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and a Simple IRA with Employer Match.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform maintenance and repairs on construction machinery and equipment.
    • Operate Field Service Truck efficiently to reach job sites promptly.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
    • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
    • Welding and fabrication as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
    • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

    Requirements:

    • 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Proficiency in operating a wide range of tools and equipment.
    • Strong welding skills and ability to fabricate parts.
    • Solid understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
    • Thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CDL-A license is a bonus
    • Experience working with brands such as CAT, John Deere, or Komatsu.
    • Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program.
    • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
    • Experience with GPS and telematics systems.
