    Description
    GDIT is seeking a Tools Systems Engineer to support the NIH Center for Information Technology.


    In this role you will work with the Network Performance Management Tools team to perform day-to-day administration of Linux servers and monitoring applications for the NIH network in support of customer requirements.

    Work Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

    HOW A TOOLS SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
    Perform administration and patching for Linux Servers
    Develop/troubleshoot Python Automation scripts
    Manage Network Services monitoring solutions
    Respond to customer requests
    Create Reports/Dashboards in various Tools servers
    Support/Upgrade Network Tools team applications
    Perform device log management


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Education:
    BS Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)

    Required Experience: 5 years of related experience


    Required Technical Skills:
    Three years of experience managing Splunk, Grafana, and Science Logic SL1 infrastructure
    Five years of Linux servers administration experience to include Python programming and managing network/server monitoring solutions

    Security Clearance Level:
    Must possess NIH Public Trust


    Preferred Skills:
    Experience with network monitoring tools for Cisco switches, firewalls, and routers

    Location:
    Hybrid; must be able to come into the office minimum of one day a week and on demand as needed

    Salary and Benefit Information
    The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $129,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

    Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
