In this high impact role, the Financial Analyst will partner with the R&D organization, driving operational improvement and functional excellence. In addition, this position will play a tactical role in maintaining standardized forecast vs budget reporting and analysis. Process improvement skills as well as building meaningful relationships with cross segment leadership is key to success. In addition, partnering with internal stakeholders including Finance, R&D, and Product Management will require strong critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities Include:

Continuous improvement mindset with a strong aptitude in challenging the status quo.
Collaborate with R&D leaders and the FP&A Center of Excellence, with the goal of capturing key business insights through the development of standardized and ad-hoc analytical reports.
Track headcount and resources against plan by projects (category) across product lines and company initiatives.
Provide ROI and NPV project valuations with scenario analysis for future optimizations and growth opportunities.
Utilize strong analytical capabilities to evaluate data, determine trends, and present findings.
Ability to direct and influence resources without direct reporting relationships

Skillset:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or data science required. Master's degree in business or closely related financial studies preferred.
Advanced Excel Skills: Lookup functions, Pivot Table, Power Query, etc.
PowerBI, Python and Sequel Scripting knowledge preferred.
Familiarity of Cash Flow, NPV, ROI, and Financial Modeling.
Strong business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the software industry
Critical problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Experienced in budgeting and forecasting, developing complex modelling, explaining financial analysis both at the business and at a technical level.
Strong ability to leverage systems to eliminate need for manual data collection efforts.
Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal direction.
