    Our Company: North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is a non-profit youth soccer organization home to more than 16,000 players (ages and their families each year. Through full-service programming, NCFC Youth offers youth soccer for all levels of play - from Recreation and outreach programs up to the highest levels of elite competition. In addition, NCFC Youth hosts tournaments, camps, and other events to ensure the best player development opportunities.

    NCFC Youth's on and off field operations are supported by more than 1,700 personnel including full-time staff, seasonal coaches, and volunteer coaches. In collaboration with the professional North Carolina Football Club, home to NC Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), NCFC Youth is the largest youth-to-professional club in the country and offers a pipeline of player development including U-23s, amateur & academy contracts, and professional contracts in addition to coaching development opportunities.

    Since 1974, we have been living our mission of providing positive, high quality soccer opportunities at all levels of play for youth and their families and serving as a valuable community partner.     The Position: The Recreation Administrator is a full-time role that is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and execution of their assigned region(s) within the recreation department.

    Essential Functions:
    • Responsible for the oversight of at least one region assigned by the Recreation Director.
    • Assist Recreation Director with overall running of the recreation program.
    • Willing to help with other regions when assigned by the Recreation Director.
    • Provide exemplary customer service by assisting parents and volunteers coaches when they call or come into the office if they need help or have questions. Stay attentive and responsive to email/voicemail (24hrs during the week 48hrs on the weekend).
    • Continually strive to improve the efficiency, communication, and organization of the entire program.
    • Build teams in your region and help with other regions when necessary.
    • Responsible for the placement and movement of all players within your assigned region(s)
    • Secure coaches (Head Coach and Assistant Coach) for teams and ensure completion of all risk management requirements.
    • Coordinate and manage practice schedules and assignments with help from scheduler
    • Observe teams/coaches' teams within your region- as specified by the recreation director.
    • Address player, team, and coach issues in a timely manner
    • Assist on weekday evenings and during day on weekends when necessary, during Fall and Spring season, to help answer questions and navigate issues.
    • Become proficient and familiar with PlayMetrics (our club operating system).
    • Become proficient and familiar with US Club Soccer rules and regulations about the registration of players, tournament play, registration of coaches, risk management process.
    • Assist with any NCFC event/function/program as assigned by Recreation Director/Director of Soccer/Director of Administration.
    • Mandatory reporter of abuse. Must report all suspected abuse within 24 hours using the Abuse Prevention Report.
    • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
    Qualifications/Competencies:
    • Required education: High School Diploma
    • Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences
      • Basic understanding of youth soccer landscape
      • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
    Preferred Skills
      • Valid driver's license
      • Bilingual
    Job Type Requirements:
    • Full-time; hourly position
    • Typical office hours will be Monday-Thursday 9:00-4:00pm, Friday 9:00am-2:00pm. During peak times of July & August and January & February additional hours may need to be worked.
    Work Environment/Travel/Physical Demands:
    • Most of this person's job is conducted in the office, but occasionally, work will require this employee to attend outdoor youth sporting events during all seasons, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather, to fulfill job responsibilities
    • Physical demands: Ability to bend, lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes more than 40lbs.
