    Job Summary:


    Heartwood Extended Care in Tacoma, WA is looking for an Area Director of Admissions & Marketing responsible for overseeing the admissions process and marketing efforts.

    This position is Full-time (M-F) and requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, specifically in long-term care and skilled nursing.


    Essential Functions:
    Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
    Manage the admissions process, including screening potential residents, coordinating tours, and ensuring compliance with regulations
    Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to build relationships and promote the facility
    Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth
    Manage the admissions and marketing team, providing guidance and support as needed
    Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to admissions and marketing

    Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

    Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered, as required, by the State and is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.

    Has 2 years experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting.
    Valid drivers license, and access to a private vehicle for business use may be required.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
