    Job Description and Duties

    This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

    The Program Services and Policy unit is seeking a self-motivated, organized, individual who is passionate about providing superior customer service to internal and external customers. The Manager I will assist with program expertise for staff efforts to evaluate and improve field operations; serve on planning committees and task forces as a representative of the division; act as a liaison with staff personnel or other divisions and agencies: assist in developing plans. procedures to implement special programs assigned to the division: evaluate data: draw conclusions on certain statistical data: research problems in areas of the Vehicle Registration and Driver's License policies and procedures, statute limitations, automation, training, communications, and public relations to identify causes and recommend solutions: prepare correspondence in reply to inquiries received from the public on departmental policy, procedures, and actions; respond to technical questions and resolve problems submitted by the public: assist with Legislative review and analysis; evaluates and make recommendations for Merit Award Suggestions that concern field operations; and collect, review. consolidate, and disseminate field office appointment, inventory, and usage reports to Executive management.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

    Working Conditions

    Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency.

    Works in a cubicle, in a fast-paced environment, within a large office setting. The employee sits for long periods of time, uses a personal computer, types, and frequently responds to telephone and email inquiries. Noise level is consistent with that of an office. Travel may be required.
