    Position Summary


    The Construction Procurement Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for the supply of goods and services and must adhere to the timelines and procedures set forth by the procurement department.

    Construction Procurement Coordinator will be reporting to the Construction Procurement Manager.


    Key responsibilities will be to assist the Procurement Manager with all stages of the procurement process, including working with internal and external trades which includes inputting order data, communicating with subcontractors, supply vendors, tracking shipments, identifying cost savings, process improvement.

    Main Tasks and Responsibilities

    Coordinate and procure-related queries, documentations, registers and filing system.

    Maintain open line of communication with vendors and subcontractors.

    Review and provide operational support for all aspects of contract-related activities:


    • Request, submit, and track contractor's insurance documents.
    • Create, review and coordinate contracts with the procurement manager by presenting bidding comparisons.
    • Manage and update the building management software with approved contracts, subcontractor bids, contract templates, materials and all trade-related data.
    • Prepare, present and review the budget with the Procurement Manager.
    Review, analyze and manage

    Purchase Orders:

    • Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.

    Schedule material deliveries:
    Follow-up to ensure deliveries are on time.


    • Mitigate issues that might arise by coordinating with project superintendents and all the trades involved.
    • Review and manage change orders for construction services and materials from qualified vendors, contractors, design professionals, etc.
    • Analyze bids for accuracy/completeness and conformance to bid scopes and make subcontractor hiring recommendations based on cost, expertise of subcontractor, and work history.
    • Source new materials associated with local / international shipping and clearance costs.
    • Research new materials and methods for construction of projects, aesthetics, and quality.
    • Conduct material takeoff for all necessary measurements and bill of quantities (BOQ) from the takeoff software.

    Coordinate and facilitate construction administration:

    • Develop familiarity with milestones in construction schedules.
    • Coordinate with the design and architecture department to identify project scope of work and material requirements.
    • Effective communication with subcontractors.
    • Evaluate plans and specifications to get proposals and estimates.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors on change order proposals/estimates.
    • Coordinate and monitor logistics with the freight and customs clearance broker, and utility companies (SoCalGas, LADWP), ensuring on-time and uninterrupted delivery of the related services.
    • Maintain and update the company contact database for Vendors and Subcontractors.
    Maintain and organize warehouse and storage using company inventory software.

    Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

    Position Requirements

    High School diploma required.

    Bachelor's Degree in business administration, project management, or relevant logistics field is preferred.

    3 years recent relevant procurement. Construction field experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Ability to travel to meetings, offsite storage warehouse, events or exhibitions per department request.

    Ability to follow directions from management.

    Extensive knowledge of contract/procurement principles and procedures.

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Excellent administrative skills.

    Excellent written and communication skills.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Understand and follow work rules and procedures, including code of safe practices, code of business conduct.


    The candidate will have a strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement and construction processes, as well as build relationships with existing vendors, and identify new vendors to service emerging business needs.

    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to effectively work independently with or without general supervision.

    Physical Expectations


    Must be able to travel regularly to various jobsites in all types of weather (hot and cold weather); this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

    Must be able to frequently lift upwards to 50 pounds at a time.

    Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers such as dust, asbestos, mold and lead.
